What are your COVID policies?
CORE and MORE closely follows the local mandates for building capacity and the use of masks. All equipment class props are cleaned and sanitized in between sessions.
Where to find us
CORE and MORE is conveniently located on Boston Road in Wilbraham across from Dunkin’ Donuts in the Eastwood shops plaza. CORE and MORE is 10 minutes from the Mass Pike, and is easily accessible from Wilbraham, Ludlow, Hampden, Palmer, and Springfield. The studio is easily accessible and includes ample well lit parking.
I have never done Pilates before
Most people who decide to begin their Pilates practice have never done Pilates before. Pilates is adaptable to any level and ability.
Planning for your first session
Please arrive a few minutes early for your first session to complete the necessary paperwork. Dress comfortably in clothing that allows you to move. Wearing layers is often recommended due to seasonal changes and accommodating for the studio temperature.
During your introductory session, the instructor will talk with you about your goals, your health history with therapies and or fitness activities. A screening of your posture and strength will be completed at the start of your session. Your session will include activities on the Pilates apparatus as well as mat exercises.
How many times a week should I be doing Pilates?
Pilates is different from other forms of strengthening and movement. The mindset of focusing on “one body part on designated days of the week” does not apply to Pilates because of its whole body approach. Pilates is a series of exercises that emphasizes deeper smaller muscles as well as the larger ones. The whole body approach is included in every session and class and will leave you feeling stronger and more flexible.
